There seems to be some issue with Apple devices connecting to the softAP. I've had no issues connecting with a Windows laptop.
After doing some packet capture, it looks like esp8266 isn't responding to the 802.11 Authentication packet from Apple devices. The only difference between the Windows and Apple auth requests is the OUI data appended, which means the frame check sequence doesn't immediately follow the 802.11 wireless management frame and maybe this is why the esp8266 isn't responding?
I've attached packet captures for both windows and iOS devices. 62:01:94:70:f5:61 is the mac address for the esp8266.
I'm currently running the latest build of nodemcu firmware, with esp_init_data for a 40mhz crystal.
Any ideas?
