ESP-01 hangs and resets itself without AT+RST command

hello dear forum,

I upgraded my ESP-01 to version “0020000903”

I try to make webserver application - ( I succeeded , I was able to see my webpage at google chrome )

everything is fine however after 5 minutes standby

ESP doesnot receive ethernet packets from Google Chrome anymore

when I ping it from PC the packets are lost

and when I tried to give AT command it suddenly resetted itself

why is that so ?

Could you have a try with our latest AT v0.50 http://bbs.espressif.com/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=1123 ?

Please use Espressif official Flash download tool to burn the bin files into Flash.

The "readme.txt" is with the AT bin files.

You need to download the latest AT v0.50, and unzip it, you can find the "readme.txt" in it.

what is boot mode ?
what is non boot mode ?

do I have to download both boot and non boot files ?

I have ESP-01 / what is the flash size ? which files do I need to download ?

I dinot understand the update steps
do you have a more clear explanation ?

Hi,

boot mode : can use "AT+CIUPDATE" command to upgrade AT firmware through WiFi, your Flash size needs to be 1MBytes or larger.
non-boot mode: can NOT use "AT+CIUPDATE" command to upgrade AT firmware through WiFi, for 512KBytes Flash.

Use Espressif official Flash Download Tool, it will detect the size of your Flash while downloading and show it in "DETECTED INFO" area.
