Hi All,
I have ESP 12q module when I apply power without connecting Tx, Rx pin to USB-SERIAL connector it won't start but If I connect tx, rx pin to USB-SERIAL connector and apply power it starts and works normally. I'm using 3.3v external power source rather than USB power source from laptop. I have wired it according to attached diagram. I have two ESP 12q modules and both giving same problem.
Any one have idea whats is wrong ?
Thanks & Regards,
Prakash P.

Hi,
So sorry for missing your post.
Have you resolved your problem?
Whether uart interface has been connected to USB-SERIAL connector or not, it won't affect the working of ESP-12 module.
UART interface is only for uart communication or debug.
BTW, how you define that if the ESP-12 module works normally.
Thanks.
