EEPROM Related Queries

Hi, i was unable to flash the chip via uart so i flashed the EEPROM directly with a programmer. i wanted to know if ESP8266 Chip reads from the EEPROM in quad mode? it will be really helpful if someone could tell me the status register values.

Hello Cyril,

Yes, the ESP8266 can read from the flash in QIO mode. Please produce a combined BIN file with the correct compilation and BIN settings. It should work fine then.
Also, make sure you use the flash map and put the binary files at the proper places depending on the flash size you are using.
