Hi,
The scenario:
1. Mesh nodes configured with mesh server IP and port. Everything works as expected.
2. The IP of the mesh root node of the mesh network is known and if a socket is attempted to be opened with mesh root node IP and the port that was defined to be the mesh server port then the mesh root node is accepting this connection.
Questions:
1. Why the mesh root node is also listening for connections on the same port as mesh server port?
2. Is this known and expected behaviour?
Cheers.

Mersh server port and mesh root node

In a mesh network consisting of a set of mesh nodes and mesh gateways, I am not sure of all of the mesh node and the mesh gateways may be set to be installed dhcp server and natting at each node and gateway.
The dhcp server and the natting are only assigned to either a mesh gateway or a mesh node or both?
Can you provide some reasonable configuration schemes?
