Hackaday and others covered it back in 2017.

Thank You for interesting.
The old campaign was unsuccessful. For this resoan, we decied to develop espcopter with our own resource. When we did it the first campagin, drone is even not fly well. And they can be controled with only computer processing program. During two year, we solved the stability problems and optimized the flight performance. Also, by trying a lot of design, we increased the durability of the drone. In addition, we added modular features to drone. ESPcopter features can be increased with development shields which are optical flow, muti-ranger, bme280, buzzer neopixel. Thanks to the optical flow module, espcopter can fly autonomously. Thanks to the multi-ranger shield, ıt can be controled with hands and ıt has anti collision feature. And what's more, we add the blockly programming for kids.
