I bought an ESP-12F some years ago. I remember typing lots of AT commands to it. I stopped using it, but picked it up again yesterday because I'd like to use it in a new project. I've got it hooked up to 3.3V and a serial terminal. It signs on like this:
Ai-Thinker Technology Co. Ltd.
ready
but everything that I've typed to it just gets the response "ERROR". Even just a <CR>, or AT.
It might sound like a silly question, but can anyone think what firmware I might have in there?
Is the "ready" a clue?
I don't remember reflashing it, but it's years ago, my memory is bad and getting worse, and I've cluttered my brain up with loads more stuff since then.
What firmware is in my ESP-12F?
