I've successfully compiled both user1.2048.new.5.bin and user2.2048.new.5.bin, but found there is no different between them(md5sum are the same). Btw, I've done 'make clean' already.
both bin files works excellent, and I've sure upgrade was successful, because "system_upgrade_userbin_check()" returns alternative 0 and 1 after every upgrading.
My question is: can I simplify our server to offer only one bin file?
A question on compiling upgradable bin file

Hi,
In compilation STEP 5 , if you choose “5, 2048KB,1024+1024” or "6,4096KB, 1024+1024",user1.bin and user2.bin would be the same, and you could use only one bin.
But if you choose any other option in STEP 5 ,user1.bin and user2.bin would be different, you need them both to FOTA, firmware upgrade through WiFi.
Thanks for your interest in Espressif Systems and ESP8266 !
