Spelling: Function should be "send" and not "sent"

Postby kolban » Thu Jul 09, 2015 12:03 pm

There is an exposed function that is very important. It is:

espconn_sent(...)

when called, this function sends data through the connection to the partner. As I say, very important.

However, the problem is that in English the "instruction" to transmit data is "send". For example "Please send the package". The English word "sent" is the past-tense of "send". For example "I sent the letter last week". I asked an English specialist and she said that in this context, "send" is a "command".

My recommendation would be to rename the function:

espconn_sent()

to be

espconn_send()

I think another user mentioned they had the same concern over this phrase the other day in another post ... but I couldn't see a specific report upon it.
