The ESP-WROOM-02D stated in the product datasheet that the device is optimized version of ESP-WROOM-02 especially on the RF performance. Everything else is the same even the internal chipset is using the same ESP8266EX. But when we load our software that is working fine on ESP-WROOM-02 into ESP-WROOM-02D, we get a unreadable character from its debug port. So, I guess there must something different that is not mentioned in the product documentation.
Fyi, we are using Non-OS SDK version 2.0. Should we upgrade to version 2.1? Please help.

Hi,
Sorry that we cannot reproduce your problem.
Does it only happen on a specific ESP-WROOM-02D? Or every ESP-WROOM-02D has the same problem?
Please note that the power supply should be 300mA at least, it is suggested to provide more than 500mA power supply.
Thanks for your interest in the ESP8266!
