Check Flash Chip

Hi,
is there a way to check flash chip with Espressif tools? (Find defects, confirm defects, which will cause CRC errors at new ota update that will stop cloud update)

May be an SDK func "check other partition for flash defects" will help.

I flash chip check tool would be very helpful. I have several esp-12 where the flash memory seems to be broken.
Does anybody know how to check SPI flash chip for errors?
